Hi there! My name is Teresa. My pronouns are she/her. I love that you are here. You are here for a reason. I look forward to getting to know you when ever that time feels right for you.

I extend deep bows of gratitude and reverence for the healing practices and principles of yoga, the lands of South Asia and Africa from which these ancient practices originate, and the wisdom of the teachers whose feet I humbly sit at, as they share their wisdom for the benefit of our collective healing and growth.

My own journey with yoga and integrative practices began during my military service, when I first experienced the mind-body connection as a source of strength and support. Since then, I have witnessed how deeply the mind, body, and spirit can work together to restore balance and resilience, and this continues to guide my work with clients today.

In my service, I meet each person where they are, honoring their lived experience and empowering them to explore new possibilities for growth, we co-create together. All sessions offer a judgment-free refuge, unbound from expectations, and centered around the belief in nurturing our innate wholeness with a frame of mind that encompasses radical compassion, forgiveness, and loving inclusivity.

Drawing on my training in yoga therapy and my social work education, I bring a trauma-informed approach that integrates practical coping tools, mind-body awareness, and evidence-informed practices. Whether we are working together in a therapy room, a shelter, virtually, or on a yoga mat, my intention is always to create a supportive environment where you feel seen, heard, and encouraged.

I look forward to walking alongside you in your becoming, supporting your ability to nurture your well-being and cultivate a life of meaning and connection.

My professional path includes a Army veteran, Master of Science in Yoga Therapy from Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH), a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from George Mason University (magna cum laude), and ongoing studies toward a Master of Social Work at George Mason. I am a certified yoga therapist with the International Association of Yoga Therapy (C-IAYT), an experienced registered yoga teacher (E-RYT), and a Yoga Alliance continuing education provider (YACEP). These experiences continue to shape and inspire the work I feel called to share.
